some things

I'm going to be rushing as a sophomore and have some questions/ comments...
first, how is phi mu middle on anyones scale? don't they have a non existent social life? my hall mates in phi mu never had any mixers
also why are some people saying ast is bottom? my hall mate was in that and had mixers with good frats like every weekend, what is making them low?
and lastly, why is sk considered so good? idk i don't wanna be making negative comments but a lot of the girls I've met throughout freshman year in sk seem ... not nice

My best advice is to try to drop all those beliefs on the girls you've already met in sororities. Each sorority is 200+ girls and of course in each there's the means one and fun ones or lame ones. My best advice is that during your pref night look around at the girls next to you in line and see if you like them after all those will most likely be your pledge sisters and your closest friends in the sorority. I remember my rho gam gave me that advice for pref night and completely changed my view on the sorority that I had lived all of recruitment but when looking around I found a lot of the girls were rolling their eyes and just having a bad attitude whereas when I went to my other choice the girls actually were open and willing to talk and friendly around me.

phi mu isn't allowed to have registered mixers because of their nationals so that is probably why they were never openly talked about but i think next year they might be allowed to, and ast mixed with ok frats this year but they had alot of issues with sisterhood between their newest pledge class and the seniors.

If this is gonna be your view of sorority life then you should probably just not rush. In reality, tiers aren't a big thing at all. If you've met a couple of SKs, one girl from phi mu and one girl from AST and are already being as small-minded as this, then you're not fit for JMUs greek life. We are a family and think of each other highly.

yes really. the girls in my sorority have friends in every single other sorority no matter what "tier" or whatever they're in.

Yes I definitely agree with this! The way we act in reality is the complete opposite of how some girls act on here. We all support each other!

Honestly there are rude girls in every sorority. And just cause you met some ones in SK doesn't mean the whole sorority is like that.
As for phi mu, you're really not supposed to talk about mixers cause the word "mixer" is illegal or something like that and their nationals won't allow them.
And for AST they do mix a lot but I wouldn't say with the "best" frats. They're cool/chill girls though.
