transfer rush

I'm transferring to JMU as a sophomore and I'm really nervous about rushing before classes start since I won't know anybody! Any thoughts?

I literally didnt know any girls in sororities when i rushed as a freshman this year, i think its better that way so you have a completely open mind

Don't be nervous. I didn't know anyone nor did I know any of my sisters when I got my bid and now they're all my best friends.

I was friends with one girl who I rushed with and we didn't even join the same sorority. But you will become good friends with your rho gamma group! I would just say give it a try. If you end up joining a sorority you'll love it and if not rushing is such a good experience.

You start rush after starting your classes. Don't worry you'll probably find someone to rush with but if you don't, most people rush alone.
