Which sororities haze and how bad is it? I want to rush this fall

The only sorority that hazes is delta sigma phi and once you get innitiated you have to be known as a dsig for life

Ast is on probation for hazing right now but it looks like it was just for having alcohol at a new member event. Tri sig has gotten probation a couple times recently for hazing but didn’t seem like anything serious either. Have heard maybe asa? Idk about the rest

Hot take: ast and trisig are nearly the same exact sororities. The only difference is that trisig used to have a better reputation years ago and still has some of those remaining frat relations but now they’re basically the same thing

Curious about this too, fsl’s website makes it seem like ast, sk, tridelt have had hazing issues lately but are there more?

None of my friends in sororities were hazed. I’m close with girls in ASA, SK, PHI MU, Zeta, and Theta.

JMU takes hazing very seriously and it’s really unfair to orgs to speculate on here and potentially get them into trouble they don’t deserve. Plus you’re also likely to get bs answers from people about orgs they don’t like for whatever reason.

Not speculating. JMU’s greek website says that Sk got in trouble for hazing last year
“forced consumption of alcohol, forced to wear embarrassing costumes, new members were made to remember non-relevant information and tested on that information, assigned sober monitoring, and the use of blindfolds on new members during kidnappings performed by older members and strangers.”

Replying to the person below. None of JMU’s sorority’s haze.
I guarantee someone got upset with their org and made a false report. JMU wouldn’t just give the sorority a slap on the wrist if it was serious/enough evidence.

That goes against their probation “(Through Spring 2025) Restriction of Privilege - social restriction – The chapter will be restricted to participating in and hosting events that are dry only (No Alcohol), with the exception of an end of the year Formal“
