It’s true that recruitment tends to be very superficial. When it comes down to it most sororities don’t care much about philanthropy, and they only care about grades because they have to (so, not very much). Try to keep in mind that the houses you’re going back to are excited about you, and the ones excited about you are the ones that are a better fit for you anyway! Who wants to be part of a group that doesn’t see their value? Keep your chin up!

Being cut by those houses is a blessing in disguise. I know it hurts so bad and makes you doubt yourself but this is your opportunity to give those 4 houses your all. There are girls that will get a full card this round and then cut hard going into the next round and waste their time worrying about the wrong houses. These are the houses that can see you in their sisterhood and now you can give them your full attention

jmu rush is very superficial but if all they want is some pretty stereotypical blonde with no personality than you shouldn’t wanna join those chapters anyway. So many “top” sororities here have such bad scandals and reputations because they don’t actually care about character at all

some chapters actually have a “looks based recruitment.” alpha phi nationally recruits on looks and has advisors mark down girls that “can go” or “must go” if they don’t “fit the look” and I’m sure other chapters do this too

i promise u this is the best thing that could happen . i dropped sorority life and it was absolute best decision. i promise blessings come in disguises

Do you have connections in any of the sororities that dropped you? If not that’s probably why this happened. If you do know girls in these 8 sororities then you’re justified in taking the cuts personally. I’m sorry this happened to you

How did you like the houses you went back to

Every sorority here has unattractive girls in it but hopefully you make some connections with the girls at the houses you have left and find the perfect house for you
