by: jmurusheeFrom my experience at their parties so far they all seem like an awesome group of guys who cater to the more well-rounded type (likes to party but still values academics). Anyone with a little more knowledge about this fraternity wanna comment?

If you want a Southern fraternity, Fiji, SigEp, and any of those other bottom tier chapters that decided they were Robert E. Lee's grandsons last year are not what you want. They're try hards. The only fraternities at JMU that are actually remotely southern are Kappa Sig, which no longer is chartered, and Delta Chi. Sigma Chi arguably can be grouped in there too.

Every fraternity that isn't KA, ATO, Pike, or lower tiers like TKE, AEPi, etc. have southern guys, and yes guys from Virginia are considered Southern. Guys from "NOVA" stop acting like it's its own state, y'all are part of Virginia which is Southern, sorry, that's just who you are, accept the facts.
That being said, DX, SX, Pikapp, SN, LXA, KS, Fiji, Sigepic, Delta Sig have most of their boys from Virginia and are thus Southern and in my opinion far superior than the guid-geeds.
