These guys reused their banner from Greek Week last year for Greek Year this year and slapped a picture of Princess Leia on it. They thought no one would notice. Well I noticed and I think its some BS

Alpha Phi gets such a bad rep because in years past, they have acted/behaved in certain ways that earned that rep for them. But as a close friend to some girls in their newest pledge class and the year above, I can tell you that the stereotypes no longer hold true. These are girls that are very involved in many different organizations on campus (UPB, SpartanTHON, Camp Kesem, Volleyball, Swimming, Track, the list could go on & on), they constantly are attending others’ philanthropy events, and some of these girls are actually the nicest girls I’ve met on campus. Truly genuine people. Now sure, that’s not to say every single one of them is an angel, but you’re not going to find that anywhere. So to people who think they’re nothing but airheads, give them another chance maybe- I think you might be the one who’s stuck up/exclusive.

Just because people are involved in things on campus doesn't make them good/nice people. You say their newest pledge class are the nicest but whenever I try to compliment any of the sophomore girls on anything aphi related the actually ignore me which is really rude. I really don't think people are labeling them all as airheads, I think it's much more about them being shallow/only associating with people they deem "cool enough"

I'm friends with some A Phis and all in all they're a pretty chill group of girls. They get a lot of hate, but it doesn't really seem to bother them too much at the end of the day. Everyone has a different opinion of them, so my best advice would just be to meet them and decide for yourself how you feel about them.

Alpha Phi has an extremely offputting attitude that alienates them from the rest of the Greek and campus communities. They are only concerned about their image and will do almost anything to make themselves look better but there is no sincerity behind anything that they do. The way they talk to and about others is rude and condescending and they as a chapter have a hugely inflated ego and sense of self importance.

Super sad how people judge Alpha Phi girls without really knowing them. They have really strong sisterhood and work to build eachother up. They have been ranked as a top Alpha Phi chapter in the US, and you don't get that award without hard work and dedication. Aphis like to have fun and party, but where is the harm in that when why're also excelling in school and service? Anyone saying negative comments must not really know Aphis dynamic and it's a shame bc they are a great group of girls!

they have people patrol websites like this and remove negative comments about them so that people can't see what they're really like

There is not a single woman in this chapter I'd like to hold an intelligent conversation with. The A Phi effect is all too real but oh well, they have more likes on Instagram than both you and I and that's what really matters to them.

Aphi has always gotten a bad rep for being a little wild, but as a fifth year senior, I can attest to the fact that the past 2-3 pledge classes have been increasingly involved and academic and the wild ones have been slowly graduating year after year. I think they're really turning over a new leaf but are struggling to shake irrelevant stereotypes
