MIDDLE TIER
By: Pi PhiPosted:

Lower middle tier. They have some cute girls and their new house is definitely a step up from where they were. But where are they? Now that their pledge class from last year graduated, you barely see any of them at parties. There's some involvement around campus, but the Pi Phis don't really stick out much in their organizations or in classes. I don't hear about any drama within Pi Phi, which is actually really refreshing for a sorority on this campus. I don't think they're top tier in the traditional sense, but they don't have to be. The Pi Phis I've met are usually pretty nice (but quieter and not initiators) and seem to be getting on just fine with each other. They're getting something out of their sorority experience, even if they don't have a stereotype or solid campus reputation. That's probably because they don't dedicate a ton of time to trying to be something they're not, and also because they have a balance of girls with different personalities and interests. There's not a lot of external cohesion, but their sisterhood is pretty strong it seems. Keep doing you, Pi Phi.

Still top tier, but losing their niche. They used to get a lot of the pretty and sweeter girls, while A Phi would get the hotter party girls. Even though they weren't as social as A Phi, they had a much better sisterhood, which really appealed to a lot of girls. It seems like they still worked their pink Phi Mu magic this year at recruitment and got a cute pledge class, but their sisterhood definitely comes across as a little fake after their mega-drop in numbers last semester. They need to focus on reorienting their sisterhood and being there for each other. A lot of their older members shame the younger member classes for being less involved and a little bit sloppier, but for better or for worse you guys are all sisters. Be there for each other and stop indulging your catty members (and stop putting them in leadership positions). Then you'll get your niche back.

TOP TIER

A Phi is still top tier, there's no doubt about that. They still vie with Phi Mu for most of the hot/super social girls that go through recruitment. They actually do have a fair bit of campus involvement from individual members, but that doesn't really seem to be where the sorority's priorities are at. They can be really shallow and snooty, and at least one girl per pledge class gets frozen out by all the other girls because they don't like her. Basically every year their youngest pledge class rampages across campus parties and gets too sloppy. But they actually are willing to have fun on this campus, which is unusual, and they have more hot girls than most other chapters. Their partying and looks will hold them together, but it just doesn't seem like there's much substance beyond that. If they work on integrating their cliques better and get more invested in involvement on campus, they might see their sisterhood improve.
