do letters of rec matter here?

I know for SEC schools letters of rec are mandatory. I do know alum from other chapters who could write me letters of rec. But would recs help at all? Or should I just not bother them. I would rather not if I don't need to.

Our sorority definitely takes letters of into consideration when considering a PNM! Good luck with recruitment :)

They're not mandatory at all. However, if you have a letter that has a lot of good things to say about you, the houses will look out for you (esp. if you're cute). It can give you a leg up, but you can also just go through rush and if you're a solid rushee you'll get into whatever house you want.
