improving greek life

I'd like to see less restrictions on us. The school acts as if the greek system is getting out of control when really nothing has changed. If anything, we have smarter and more responsible kids than back in the 80's and 90's because UCSB has a MUCH better reputation. In fact, drinking percentages have been at an all time low for the last several years, yet the rules keep coming....no booze at rush, no serenades, no TG's, next will probably be no music without an armed officer stationed at the door. It's just ridiculous.
The people making these rules are the same people that brought kegs to the beach, did naked runs as part of initiation, played flip cup to raise money for disable veterans, and burned couches as a party attraction. Who are they to tell us what we can't do?

I'd say the chances are pretty high. I haven't met a single person who actually believes TGs should stop. Also this argument of people doing stupid things over and over again is counter-intuitive. It's a different batch of kids every four years and rules aren't going to prevent them from doing stupid things, it'll just keep making it harder and harder to exist, which in turn, will reduce the greek presence on campus.
