rushing as a guy who is somewhat shy

by:

So after thinking about it for a while I've decided to rush a fraternity this spring. I'm somewhat shy and I'm hoping that joining a frat will help me break out of my shell. I've kind of struggled making friends my whole life as I usually don't really connect with people until I know them for a while. In HS I made most of my friends thru football and I'm hoping that joining a fraternity can help me make friends as well. I've struggled somewhat to make friends here as well so I'm hoping that joining a frat can have a similar effect on me as playing football did for me in HS. I know I'm kinda making myself out to be a loser but I'm really not. I'm pretty chill and outgoing once I get to know people and I definitely like to have a good time.
So can you guys give me some suggestions on which houses I should check out? Rn I'm thinking about SigEp, SigNu, DTD and KSig since they seem pretty chill and aren't filled with typical frat stars. Is there any other house you'd guys suggest?

Meet and get to know all of them. By the sounds of things I think you'd be best in sig nu or sig pi

My advice- unless you know a number of people in any one house, do the whole rush process. Go to walk arounds, see who impresses you and who doesn't, rush like 4-5 houses day one, narrow it down to 2 by the last day.
