can someone please explain what zete is??
by: Question?I know it has a tie to SAE, but who are the guys in it right now? How did any good guys know to "rush" them if they're not even a colony? Are they pretty involved in the social scene?

They havent had rush, but most of the guys in zete and who were in SAE went to the same high schools (Newport, Manhattan Beach, etc.) so they all already knew each other/ of each other before coming to UCSB. There are some people not from those areas, and they found out usually from their friends from the dorms, sports, or classes that were from that area. A lot of them are on the volleyball team and they all pretty much played sports in high school. They have tequila tuesday every tuesday at their chapter house and they have a couple satellite houses that have regular parties/ late nights. Rumor has it they will be on campus and rushing in the fall.

all that's correct, except the rushing part. At an IFC president's meeting in the spring, they voted on formally recognizing zeta psi as an IFC chapter or not. They voted against it- they know Zete's tie to old SAE and therefore they're not getting recognized, and can't have formal rush. Rumor has it (and I'm not involved in zete, I'm in another IFC fraternity, so at the end I'm not certain) that Zeta Psi nationals won't even recognize them
