should i join a frat?

Hey just got into UCSB. I'm going there. Should I join a frat? Why?

UCSB is a huge school and it's easy to get lost in the sea of people. To me joining a fraternity is the easiest way to get involved socially as quickly as possible.

Don't join a fraternity just to party or be social. They are highly regulated, and it's easier to party as an independent. But, if you're looking for more than partying....a life long brotherhood, alumni networks, community service commitments, academic help, sports teams, leadership opportunities, and more...then rush and find the best House for you.
