Should I rush or not (very specific situation)?

by:

Last year I rushed and joined a sorority that I felt I clicked with and belonged with. However I quickly realized that the girls were just forming their own cliques and were mostly super rude to everyone except their immediate best friends. Not to mention super pick me and not girls girls at all. I decided to drop before initiation, and my other friend in the same sorority decided to drop for the same reasons. My best friend (a different friend) joined a different sorority than the one I was in. I saw how much fun she was having in it, and all my friends are trying to convince me to rush again. A part of me wants to but another part of me feels like I missed my chance and none of them will want me anymore. Should I do it? Do I even have a chance at getting into one after being in another sorority? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

Sounds like you probably rushed one of the higher ranked houses. With both frats and srats the popular houses will always have better looking people, but they're more snobby and often meaner. There's no hurt in trying to rush your friend's sorority or another middle tier, but tbh people that have already pledged a sorority usually have trouble getting in another so best of luck.

Should I even try then? I literally don’t care about being in a “top house” or “bottom house” I just want to make friends with nice girls who like me. But I also don’t want to get rejected from every single house and end up super upset and alone. I just feel really lost and don’t know what to do at this point…I don’t want to rush if I’m going to immediately get judged because I joined a different sorority beforehand

honestly I would just rush again it shouldn’t matter if you connect with someone <3

But are they going to not want me to join because I’ve already rushed? Am I like “damaged goods” now?? I don’t want an answer that’s sugar coated I just want to know the truth.

I don’t think you would be damaged goods because a lot of girls go through a couple times
