Does Weight Matter?

I’m thinking of rushing at UCSB, but I’m a size 8. Does size matter if I want to get into a good/top sorority?

truly every house here is good and will offer a similar sorority experience. honestly if a house did drop you because you’re a size 8, you probably wouldn’t want to be in that type of a house

No not at all, size 8 is completely average and there’s lots of plus size girls in mid tier and and higher houses

every srat will say it doesn’t matter, truth is there are a couple of superficial houses who choose girls based on who they think frat guys deem hot. you could be amazing and beautiful and have a ton to offer, but if you don’t have a particular look, they will come up with a reason to drop you...claiming you’re not the right fit or they didn’t “connect”
most of the srats aren’t like this, but ya a few are.

I understand that although it shouldn’t, being plus-sized will 100% impact your experience… not just at a couple sororities but at pretty much all of them… but a size 8???? Clearly that’s not gonna make a difference…. a size 8 is literally just…average

you will have no problem besides maybe one or two houses at a size 8!! that is completely average. you don’t want to be around girls that don’t love and accept u no matter what anyway! ur perfect <3
