I’m a POC this year
by: !!!!I saw a couple other posts like this but I am definitely not white, and I know many other girls who are not white who are also in aphi this year so idk where u guys are getting the idea that there’s absolutely no diversity but you guys need to realize there is. I know we need to improve but it’s not NEARLY as bad as you guys seem to think it is. It just makes me kinda sad to see all these posts.

well that would be a form of tokenism, now wouldn't it? they're not hiding their poc, not every member makes it onto the insta and that's okay. houses don't take poc for PR purposes, they take them because they actually like the girls so who cares if they're featured on their insta. aphi doesn't have to prove anything to you, it's not your house and it's really their business...

geez calm down, the reason people say aphi is mostly white is because that is what we see with our own eyes and on insta. nobody is asking for them to prove a damn thing.

I agree with the tokenism comment to an extent because as a POC even though I think representation is absolutely necessary and the srats need to shape up, I wouldn't want to be put on a srat's instagram page just because they "have" to show people like me. It's like I wasn't good enough but they're just showing me because they're trying to prove a point. That doesn't feel good either. However, I do think that by recruiting more and more POC, the social media will eventually have to reflect that if the ratio is more even.
