There’s so many girls signed up
by: ahI’m getting really nervous after finding about that there’s over 500 girls signed up to rush. Will it be harder to get into houses now?

what do you mean act rude at any houses? not that i’m planning to lmao but does that get girls blacklisted from all houses?

Houses can report rude/disrespectful PNMs to panhellenic and they can get dropped from recruitment entirely. Girls who treat houses poorly during recruitment don't belong in the community 🤷

That’s not even “a lot” some years it’s 700, remember girls drop if they don’t get a house they like plus houses take around 70 girls and with everything going on we are desperate for money and taking bigger pledge classes. Everyone gets a bid unless you suicide bid at the end.

wait so they’re taking bigger pledge classes? Like if it’s 500 girls how many will the houses take? How many do “top” houses take? how many girls per class usually drop

Well everyone will get a bid no matter what, it may not be from the house you want but everyone will get an offer (unless you suicide bid). Quotas all depend on nationals and what each chapter gets allotted by their nationals after numbers are sorted through.
If you’re really worried about “top” houses before you’ve even rushed or gone through the process then this probably isn’t for you. Greek life is supposed to be finding your home based on your interactions through rush and where you fit in. If you fake it to get into a top house, you’ll realize shortly after how unhappy you are that you ended up with a bunch of girls you don’t even fit in with

You do realize that “top” is extremely subjective??
And guess what, not everyone cares for the alleged top houses. So before you obsess about “top”, let that sink in.
Like it’s been said a million times on here, why don’t you go through recruitment and see what all the houses are like? You’ll likely be impressed with many of the houses you get to know.

not quite, some chapters take bigger pc's than others depending on who prefs what. kappa and aphi got the biggest pledge classes last year, which is a good sign for them because that means more girls preffed them first than other chapters. but they're usually all within the same range with the exception being that lower ranked houses tend to get smaller pc's

It literally depends on their nationals after they send them the numbers of girls throughout the entire process. It does not mean more girls preffed a certain house in the beginning. It’s all based on the amount of money their nationals need, so LOL at kappa and aphi being broke. Flashback to when a phi was suspended for years and had to make seniors live in the house.
