Do not trust this site. It is not an accurate representation of UCSB Greek life. Yes, there are "top" houses, but this site does not reflect them accurately. The only way to find out about the "real" rankings is to join the Greek system and see what your brothers and sisters are saying. Even then, do not join a house based on reputation. Join a house because you feel like you fit in with the people there. Even "bottom tier" houses have fun parties with hot girls/guys.

This site does not require any personal information or registration, so people are free to rate as much as they want. As you can see, almost every house has a rating close to 50%. This is because of self-ranking and sabotage. I would guess that less than half of the comment's here are genuine. Plus, even if a negative comment is genuine, it was that person's subjective, personal experience. Others may have had a completely opposite experience. Ive been in a sorority since freshman year, and I can tell you that one sister's experience with a fraternity may be way different than another's. One of my sisters may hate a fraternity and find it creepy. Another sister may love that same fraternity and hang at their house regularly.

Bottom Line: Do NOT let this site influence your rush decisions. Its basically fraternities and sororities bashing each other, trying to make their own house look good. In the meantime, here are some unbiased points about each house in the replies below

This is all very true and the original post is super important to note! The majority of the UCSB greek system gets along great with each other (including other houses) and unlike other schools, the beach vibe community of UCSB makes our greek system much more laid back than say schools in the south/east coast. Unfortunately there are a few negative nancys out there who as hmm stated above, like to sabotage this site. Some want "revenge" on a house for not offering them a bid, and others are so considered with their "rank" that they knock down others and self-rank to boost their own. Please don't allow the negativity of this site to deter you from rushing! Every single house has multiple reasons for being awesome as the selection pool is wonderful...I mean, we ARE all Gauchos afterall, some of the most well-rounded and fun students in the nation. I challenge the few who are being hateful to set your personal agendas aside and represent us greeks in a positive light! I also challenge those rushing to judge purely on your own experiences during rush, because where you feel you fit in the most (and are the happiest!) is what's important in selecting a house :)
