hazing in the frats

I'm looking to rush a couple fraternities in the fall but I was wondering how far they go in terms of hazing. I'm fine with a lot of traditional hazing practices like pt but I don't know how I feel about some of the more extreme stuff I've been hearing about like elephant walks and crawling through glass. I just don't understand how that stuff would help foster strong and trustworthy brotherhood.

ATO still hazes despite getting in trouble last year. Pledges forced to drink excessively, physical and verbal abuse. Parties aren’t even that good anymore.
