rushing as a 3rd year

by:

I rushed as a 2nd year this year, but was dropped from the house I really wanted on bid day. I accepted the bid from the other house because I wanted to keep an open mind. I think I'm going to drop the house, but I'm still really interested in being in a sorority!! Would it be weird to rush as a 3rd year nontransfer? & if I did, would my only options be gphi and tridelt??

Why would a sorority take you if you realistically only had 1 year to contribute to the sorority (not counting your initiated year)?

Not trying to be mean, freshmen will always have priority during rush

actually i know they have a certain quota to fill for girls that aren’t freshman, so i believe rushing as a sophomore can be to your advantage, idk about junior

I just rushed as a 3rd year not a transfer and didn’t have any problems getting into a top house. I was nervous too but it’s fine

I'm in the exact same situation lol. I'm a second year and didn't get into any houses I liked so I just dropped recruitment. I still really wanna be in a sorority so I'm def gonna rush next year but I'm also worried it's considered weird to do it as a junior
