what does it mean if a sorority got less new members than another one?

can mean a lot of different things, just keep in mind that it's a mutual selection process, it could be that a house was more selective than other houses, or that the type girls going through recruitment this year weren't the type to click with a certain house.

some houses matched "Quota" which is the # of girls who went to preference divided by the number of houses.

Some had quota 'additions', some matched quota perfect and some did not match quota at all. There is a range.

Almost every house at least matched quota this year
