Why do you think all the pretty girls are in top houses

Not true. I know a good amount of good looking blondes that are hot but got rejected from top houses because later to find out they were pretty crazy.

personality and GRADES are also a big part of getting in to a house, it's not all about how you look especially when top houses like pi phi have the highest GPA every quarter

grades matter a lot too but looks are definitely a huge factor as well as personality as time goes on through the process, if you're weird or come off crazy or if any houses find out info about you, you can be dropped.

You put in your grades on your application from either high school or you transferred college, grades matter for any year. Everything is more competitive if you're a sophomore+ but each chapter has an allotted amount of bids designed to non-freshman so you're basically competing against other sophomores and juniors.

Sorority rankings and placement for new rushies I would say is 70% looks/20% knowing someone/10% personality. Looks are determining factor, knowing someone assures you a spot if you're pretty, personality matters because you can't be weird and if you are super fun then you can get in a top house.
^Basically the written rubric all sorority girls have in their head during rush.
(Honestly don't think this makes sororities bad, just it's something to keep in mind if you want to rush. From my experience, people in greek life are a lot more social and have way more fun than the rest of the school but obviously that varies by person.)

find a sorority that aligns with your values. don't pick someone just based on looks, but someone who gets you and you could see as your sister

To be brutally honest, if you want DG Pi Phi Theta or Aphi you typically have to be cool AND pretty. Sucks but that's just the way it is.
