Can I rush a fraternity? Would they really check?

Depends on the fraternity-some have definitely ghost rushed kids before. You have some shot, while you wouldn't if you were rushing a sorority.

Just go to the rush events like you normally would, and then towards the end, explain to the rush chair etc. Probably won't work unless you have a strong prior connection to the fraternity (i.e. through sports), but I'm sure you can do one of the underground ones.
