nice for a change

You need a therapy. You are lonely and depressed! Of course every frat or sorority has mean people with superficial values. Does it mean that you can put a label on an entire sorority or fraternity? Of course not. You are smarter than that. Some people are mean because they are insecure, because they lost track of how many times other people were mean to them. We are very intolerant, all of us. We programmed to think that our way is the best way, and as a result anyone who is slightly different seems irritating. Do you remember cartoons from a childhood when DIFFERENT animal were friends and had fun together? Why can't we accept that we are all different and socialize with each other without judgement and prejudice? I also hate girls who constantly gossip and who need an illusion of exclusivity, which they are trying to achieve by puttting others down. But I don't think that the majority is like that. If you are desperate to be included in a group of social butterflies, who put a buch of pictures of themselves partying every week, in case the rest of the world will miss on how awesome and popular they are, then I can only pity you.

Aphi used to be the nicest group of girls on campus but the last "nice" class have graduated this year. Their current seniors are really hot but they don't have a sorority mindset- just a bunch of random people, who joined a sorority based on it's ranking. But I have to say that both kappa and pi phi are just as bad. It's Hopkins. People are competitive and self- centered. BUT NOT ALL IF THEM. Don't generalize!

The replies on this are disgusting. The whole point of this thread was to spread some kindness!
IX: Very individualistic, push the envelope with creative style and originality, lots of well-traveled girls who have a lot to bring to a conversation, a resume or any activity.
Phi Mu: very diverse pledge class, very very close sisterhood. These girls really make an effort to get new sisters to get involved and feel really welcome and comfortable.
APhi: lots of very sweet girls, great social media, their rush philanthropy video was INCREDIBLE.
Kappa: Don't know a ton of them honestly but loved that they all wore the same shirt for the first day of classes, looked like they had a lot of pride in their sisterhood!
PiPhi: lots of girls who are really involved in campus activities and really want to dip their toes in all of the best activities and events
Theta: so much spirit!! These girls are seriously on the rise, have a great presence on campus and have done an amazing job of putting themselves on the map in such a short amount of time on campus.
