My older sister graduated in '07 and she and I were talking about how Greek life has changed since then. Thought it was interesting - apparently less than a decade ago things looked like this:

Sororities:
Theta - Undisputed hottest, party girls, way hotter and better than IX is now.
Phi Mu - Second to Theta, cute girls, partied
(^These were the only good sororitys then)
APhi - Weird but not horrendous
Kappa - Terrible

Frats:
Phi Psi - Rich d-bags
Fiji - Basketball guys
SAE - Baseball guys
Wawa - Football and a few wrestlers (some things don't change)
Rest weren't relevant.

From talking with our alums from around then, it seemed like our vibe was similar to what it is now, but I don't hear too many people throwing shade at us today for being rich d bags, just d bags independent of socioeconomic status

Things change. Nothing is ever stay the same! Popularity is a blink of a moment and letters have different weight at different schools. My friend is in pi phi at a different prestigious university, and it's a top sorority up there.
