theta just improved alot lol, but they have work to do if they wanna get back to where they were 5 years ago
phi mu is still hot, don't know why people are being so mean to them

Yeah, i wouldn't have put aphi in front of phi mu until this year, but with each of the new pledge classes, I'd say aphi has a good lead on phi mu now. I'd still put kappa in 3rd for sure though...Phi Mu is definitely still 2nd...

People who say Phi Mu is second to A Phi are deluding themselves..but thats just my opinion.

Not sure if Alpha Phi will ever be better than Phi Mu. They're the crazy, drunk ones who invite 5 people per member to their date party. Also heard rumors that Alpha Phi was drinking on Bid Night.

pretty sure panhell would have a fit if anyone was drinking on bid night, doubtful that any sorority, including aphi, did

Back in the 90's there was a local sorority at Hopkins that was pretty much unregulated so the university forced them to affiliate with a national sorority. They chose Theta and all the girls in that local sorority were absorbed into a new Theta chapter at Hopkins, and the local sorority ceased to exist. This caused some friction for years and years because the attitude in the chapter was always that they should be allowed to do what they wanted and Theta nationals was imposing rules on them. They became one of the top sororities at Hopkins but were always seen as the wildest group. In spring 2009 they were shut down and their charter was pulled because they were breaking a lot of rules, mostly around alcohol and partying. Their last pledge class from that spring was never initiated and some of them went on to join other sororities (Kappa and the new Pi Phi colony that fall, I think) after Theta shut down.

The older Theta members that were kicked out of Theta when it was shut down formed IX, which is still ongoing and is unregulated by the school. It has no affiliation with any national group.

After all the original Thetas from the chapter that was shut down graduated, Theta nationals recolonized at JHU with a totally new group of girls. None of the IX members are in the new Theta, they are a totally different group now. So, yes, Theta was here before, but now they are recolonized. Nationals basically hit the reset button because the old Theta had a bunch of bad apples.

I agree with reality check and the people who say one sorority is better than another/ all the others probably come from the sorority that they are trying to glorify

i mean yeah. ix got all the hottest froshies. all the greek pc's are pretty weak

why is theta so determined to be competitive with/better than pi phi? chill

pi phi is "better" than theta by the fact that they've been on campus longer. everybody knows that the new sorority gets the bottom-barrel picks because they need more membership, that's just how it goes.
