just something to think about..

People at this school are too quick to automatically believe a certain sorority or fraternity is the best just because it seems "more popular". Are we really all so emotionally immature that we need our friends and peers to decide what's cool and uncool for us? This is college, not middle school, it's about time we learn to make decisions for ourselves. We're deluding ourselves with the excessive importance we place on popularity and consequently missing out on meeting some really incredible people outside of the "best" sororities and fraternities. IX, for example, is only the hottest because you made it the hottest. Sure, there are some really cool and pretty girls in IX, but they're not only found in IX. There are SO many girls on campus who are just as great, if not better, as the girls in IX, but people are too quick to dismiss that just because they don't have the title of "IX". Everyone deserves a fair chance at judgement, but instead we automatically make pre-judgements about whether someone is cool or not just because of the sorority or fraternity they come from.
