rushing again as soph
by: sophhow hard is it to get into aphi or phi mu as a sophomore if i went thru the process last year but didn't get the sorority i wanted
#1 by: idk
i have heard that aphi has a policy where if they cut you once, they will basically always cut you. idk if that is actually true though. i dont know if all of the other sororities have something like this but it will probably be harder because there was a reason they cut you the first time, if you have a lot of friends in a sorority it will help

hopkins social life isn’t super inclusive, so for me just being in any sorority is better than not being in one because that’s the best way to have fun parties, mixers, formals and date parties to go to.
otherwise you can kind of only get this part of the college experience at jhu by being one of those super gorgeous girls that just gets invited to every frat date party, but I’m an advocate of having events for women that they don’t have to be invited by guys to attend

Unless you’re on a sports team or are friends with every single girl in a sorority that dropped you, you don’t have a chance of getting into either of those sororities if you were dropped last year. Sorry to say it but I’ve never seen it happen. That doesn’t mean you can’t get into other sororities or go through the recruitment process.

in addition to that, there’s a lot of academic support and networking resources and so much more that sororities offer on top of social events
