rerushing
by: dropoutif i accepted a bid from a sorority and then weeks later decided not to be initiated, can i still rush again next year

Yes, you can rush again! Most times people just end up in pi phi/kappa when they rush as sophomores because they are the sororities that need girls for the numbers but if you have friends in the top three you will have a better chance rushing again as a sophomore because your friends can vouch for you! Sadly I think aphi might have a rule against giving bids to people they have cut in the past but they are probably the most competitive at this school.

Yes you can but it is a little harder as a sophomore. Make sure you don't burn bridges with the girls in the sorority you dropped because they might not invite you back when you re-rush but if you absolutely don't enjoy being in that sorority then maybe it's okay. I think that you should just stick with the sorority you are in though. Because the groups at hopkins are so large, you're bound to find someone you click with in your sorority and you'll find that the stereotypes aren't true. Most people end up matching with the sorority that fits them the best so even if you rush again you might end up in the same sorority unless you have enough friends in another sorority to pull you through. If you are upset to be in pi phi or kappa, I have friends in both sororities and know girls who are chill and not chill in all the sororities so I recommend that you stick with it for a while.
