gpa drop
by: New memberI am a new member in a sorority. It seems that there’s a lot of drama and being Greek is a larger time commitment than I originally thought and I’m more distracted than ever and maybe greek life isn’t right for me. How much can I expect my gpa to drop.

I would argue that being a part of a sorority can help you academically. I have sisters in basically all of my classes, and we will study together and help each other with the homework. When I was a freshman, my second semester GPA was significantly higher than my first semester! And it wasn't that I was taking easier classes. I had more resources due to being in my sorority- some older girls who had taken the classes I was in would help me study too. Plus if you don't want to be super involved with your sorority, you don't have to be. I know a lot of girls who just do the bare minimum to come to date party
