rankings shift?

i'm not sure. i think reputations and images last for really long periods of time. even if we could in some way give a sort of "objective mathematical ranking" that clearly puts theta on par or above kappa/shows aphi or phi mu as clearly first, people will still see theta as a little less good and people will still disagree forever about whether aphi or phi mu is on top for the next few years.
