pre-rush question
by: PNMCan I have a good rush without already knowing a lot of sisters in different sororities? I wasn't able to go to a lot of the meet the sisters events because they always conflicted with classes or practices! I want to go in with an open mind, but everyone already seems to know a bunch of sisters and exactly where they want to go

You definitely can. You'll get a chance to meet and talk to girls from each sorority during formal recruitment (rush), so don't worry if you don't know too many sorority girls now. Not knowing any sisters won't hurt you, but having connections/friendships with sisters, especially in a sorority that bases off looks or dirty rushes, is a bonus (sad but true). I rushed freshman year knowing very few sisters in any sorority and I don't think it affected me at all. I love my sorority and the best thing to do is keep an open mind!
