ix, alpha phi, or phi mu
by: Anonymous freshmanPlease list pros and cons of each, and if you could go back to being a freshman which you would join

IX
Pros- small, some chill girls, a few pretty girls, operates with less rules because they're underground
Cons- underground sorority, on the decline when compared to the girls that used to be in ix (the most recent pledge classes are pretty weak/have girls that wouldn't have gotten into aphi/phi mu)
APhi-
Pros- top recruiting sorority (most selective), girl next door vibe, overall hottest girls, strong sisterhood especially in more recent pcs
Cons- biggest sorority on campus (along w theta), some weird random girls, certain aphi girls are more dominant on the scene
Phi Mu-
Pros-preppy, very vanilla (this could be good or bad), some nice girls and some pretty girls
Cons- pretty boring overall and probably the most random new PC of the three

when i was a freshman i was torn between ix and phi mu, those happened to be the sororities with the girls i really meshed with, i did decide to go the panhell route bc the time commitment of ix seemed unreasonable seeing as that it wasn't something i could like list as a part of my college experience/ help me at all post college. i just didn't find anyone i found particularly interesting/i could connect with in aphi, so i never really even considered them, but that was just me personally. i could not be happier with my choice. i met so many great girls that i otherwise probably would have never had the opportunity to connect with. at first, i regretted not going ix bc i saw how close those girls became v early on, but i realized, in a bigger sorority, you have more girls, so it will take more time to get to know them all- it took a little longer, but now i do feel very close with my sisters and i definitely know it was the right choice for me
