is it worth it to join a sorority?
by: ALike is it a good way to meet people and make friends? Do people in Greek life all get to know each other (the ones who participate, I mean)? Or is it just hyped?

i would 100% recommend it. as someone who had not been interested in greek life prior to arrival at hop, i cannot over emphasize how impactful sisterhood has been to me, if you are on the fence about it id highly recommend going to FSL events and talking to sisters, you can tel when someone is being earnest, and they can probably paint you a better picture of the benefits of going greek

i think what you meant to say (for the sake of the girls considering rushing and who deserve to go into recruitment with open minds) is that phi mu wasn't the right sisterhood for you, though I know many phi mus who love their sisterhood. If you go into rush with a cookie cutter list of which sororities you want and how you will rank them before your first rush room, then you will have a greater chance of being in a sisterhood where you do not fit. If you go in with an open mind and are mature enough to go through the process without having to conform to what sites like greek rank have to say or other outside influences, then joining a sorority can be the best part of your experience at Hopkins.
