I was never really interested in rushing, but out of curiosity, I checked out Greek life when I first came to campus. The sorority that stood out as having the greatest balance of class, smarts, and humor was KKG. Some other sororities on campus that claim to be "top-tier" rely on creating a false perception of being top tier by dirty rushing and playing the whole "mean girl" attitude. Newsflash, some people fall for the "exclusivity" facade, but most people judge and dislike sororities that try to be the typical "mean girls." Interestingly, every Kappa I've met on campus has had the trifecta: super academics, incredible leadership and social abilities...and they look beautiful and classy. Many other sororities on campus like Phi Mu and Alpha Phi say they're super interested in activism, and social issues like racial diversity...and their pledge classes end up show the exact opposite, LOL. Kappa regularly makes an effort to get a diverse pledge class every semester, so it definitely practices what it preaches.

These girls are my ride or dies-- the people I call when I can't call anyone else. Insanely supportive and always down to go hang, go out, or even drive to the post office. I know people don't love self-ranks but my experience with pi phi has been absolutely amazing. There are all kinds of women in the sorority-- partiers (like me), academic grinders, activists, etc. The one thing all of these women have in common is their love for each other and their fams.
