Blame the judges. Flawed system.

Not even going to lie, I believe the either the TKE or FIJI should've won. The TKE was smooth, and the FIJI was dedicated and raised way more money than anyone else. Pretty sure he made like $1500 while everyone else was between $100-500

Sorority pageants are all politics. So many rules about picking new frats to make relations. Not picking a same fraternity philanthropic rep 2 years in a row. Sisters vote for their favorite fraternity not necessarily the best candidate etc.

It was all down to the FIJI or the Phi Delt, they outperformed everyone else in all aspects. But it seems like that guy had been around AOII for a while, meaning he was closer to them.

For all of you saying the sisters pick their favorite frats, they don't get a vote till there's only three left. Is all up to the judges which only 1 out of 3 is an AOII sister. The other two are representatives from the arthritis foundation. This is done so that it's all based on the performances rather than the gifts they get the girls etc.; it's easy to come around a few months before the pageant but it's about someone who is going to support the chapter's philanthropy in the long run. Nonetheless, all the efforts made by each candidate are greatly appreciated and they are still very much loved by the girls.

It's always been about politics, I have friends in most of the relevant sororities and they agree. It is what it is and it makes sense. If it benefits your sorority why not do it? But don't go around saying otherwise.
