sororities time management
by: FreshyI was thinking of joining a sorority but I'm scared it would be too much on my plate since im also working. I'm only taking 5 classes so I feel like i could do everything but i'm not sure. Everyone says that when being in a sorority you have no social life other then them and have no time at all. Is this true?

I feel like this is a common misconception that many pnm's share. I know several sisters in my organization including myself who juggle jobs, school, greek life, family and friends outside of greek life. Being part of a sorority is time consuming just like any other activity/club/involvement but that shouldn't sway you from being a part of it if it's something that you're truly interested in.
I will say that the first semester is the toughest because there are extra meetings you are asked to go to as a pledge but after you become a sister there is a bit more leeway and free time.
I promise that you will have a social life outside of your sorority if you make time for it. Get a planner, tattoo important dates on your forehead, whatever works. College is what you make of it freshie, so explore, take risks and have fun.
