I was trying to rush this fall but just heard a bunch of the frats are suspended...any way to still join or I just gotta wait till spring?

nah theres still a ton of frats still not on probation that aren't bad. check them out first and if you're not impressed check out the others in spring that won't be on probation.

History has been made today for our fraternity, Sigma Phi Epsilon. Resolution 2, which calls for substance-free chapter facilities, has been passed by the undergraduate body and will be incorporated into our bylaws. 
In short, by 2018 all common-areas of facilities must be substance free, and by 2020 all areas of chapter facilities must be as well.
