You are so aggressive and rude!! You've commented on almost every single show post. If you don't like shows then don't comment on the discussions about them! Your comment is irrelevant!

I agree with her as far as shows not mattering for rank. They're fun to do (for a while at least!!) and fun to watch, but the winner doesn't move up in the ranks or anything.

Why do you call her aggressive and rude because she doesn't enjoy the shows? I personally never can understand the words to the songs and even the words get lost by people screaming and whooping. Your house may do well and that may be why you like them, but I hate to go even when my house does well.

Thank you "?" and "Why". I cannot stand going or listening to these shows. If I would have known that OSU Greek life was so involved with these silly little productions, I would have rethought this whole thing.

The truth spoken by Raise Your Hand in comment #4 above and reiterated by the replies below it is factual. Unfortunately, there are some houses who base their self-worth on winning or placing in shows every year. Those houses write comments on here suggesting that their house rank is high because they do well in shows. Unfortunately they just don't understand that really no one cares. I personally like doing the shows because you do make really close friendships with the girls and the guys in the cast. Having said that, my favorite show was the one my house didn't make. The long practices interfere with academics and social life. That's the truth. Plus I don't like to watch other houses perform. I agree that you have no idea what's going on unless it's your own show.

If you are a show person, join a house that values that. Most of the houses don't which is why it's so funny to see some houses wanting their rank to jump because they won some show. Most houses participate for the fun and camaraderie of working with the guys or put in the time just to get another trophy (XO). The only one that I can think of that's really into shows to help them improve their rating is KD but there may be others too.
