ratio of initiated vs. pnm drop out

by: Just curious

Does anyone know how many pnms per sorority dropped out before initiation? That would give everyone a good idea of tiers! Not he said/she said!

I don't know if any house will speak up on that. I know how the house I am affiliated with did but being a freshman, I don't know the rules on telling that info publicly.

It would be interesting if the actual facts were known, but you can't trust what someone says on this website. The infamous Chi O hater (probably a KD) could say that Chi O had 10 girls drop but KD had none drop. Would saying that make KD the top and Chi O a lower mid house? Absolutely not. Plus girls drop for various reasons. I know one girl who had to drop because because her dad worked for Chesapeake and lost his job. Their family was kind of tightening up their belts so she quit her sorority to save money. When he's working again they've promised her her spot back. That wouldn't influence tiers at all. Also, Chi O has a long pledge period and they have to make grades to get initiated. Others initiate in 8 weeks or so regardless of grades. That might make a difference in numbers but not tiers.

Anyway, just saying that your reasoning is flawed but it would be interesting to know the real numbers.

The chi o hater is a PiPhi. She also hates on The other houses as well like GPB, KAT, kappa, KD, etc. The PiPhis are obsessed with all the houses now that they are so close to bottom tier.

It is the PiPhis causing 90% of the hate followed by the Kappas. They both had recruitment issues and now can't handle their mean girls.

If you want to know which houses had the most drop outs, just find out which ones participated in COB last spring.

I am willing to bet that every house has a girl drop during pledgeship. Some national organizations require chapters to participate in COB any time a spot is available. So if a junior drops or goes to nursing school or studies abroad then the chapter is required to do COB. But that is no reflection on the strength of the chapter. Perhaps it just means that chapter has very diverse membership with very diverse interests.

Still not an accurate number. Some houses have girls who graduate early, transfer, get into vet school or nursing school early, study abroad, etc. If they have very many, they are open to cob. Some houses never cob regardless of how far they are below total. Other houses are required by their internationals to cob any time they're allowed to. Other houses have discretion. Also, some houses only take one or two girls and not one ever even knows they were doing cob.

You might get an idea,, but it might be the wrong idea.
