Seriously, I am not trying to be mean, but thank the sorority gods! Oklahoma state is amazing in that with a little hard work, rankings can change. PiPhi has a long standing tradition of being a good house at osu. My grandmother was a PiPhi here, I have never felt more insulted than when I was told "She was a PiPhi a 100 years ago!"
The Chi O's just wanted to know if I could sing? What??? GPhi and Theta were really nice and I liked them, but I didn't feel hurt when they cut me because I felt a connection with another house. We did really well during recruitment apparently. Good for us that we are moving up!
Oh and my Grandmother was not happy to hear she was 118. Hahah

It's all subjective but a lot is where top girls end up during recruitment and where they wanted to go back to for parties. ChiO is up there because of great recruitment and they win a lot of things.

Totally agree with this one. I do think Phi Mu is higher than PBP now though.

For status on campus, the "it houses" are the ones that the pnms want the most and are the most sad about losing. When they get cut by a house it makes them think subconsciously that the house that cut them has really superior girls in it. Also the buzz during recruitment. If a bunch of pnms are talking about house A and say they hope they get a chance to go there and hope they don't have to go back to house B, the buzz is that house A is more selective and therefore more desirable. Another thing is how the girls feel treated by the houses. You can see from comments on here that of the two top houses, pnms feel that the girls are relatable and sweet at one and feel like the girls are stiffer and less welcoming at the other one. The reason the second house still recruits well is because they win so many campus events, so that is a part of it. But it's not like you can win Spring Sing and suddenly be a top house. Pnms still will prefer the houses that have that "aura" of being a top house.

Accurate. Ask girls which houses they were most sad not to get back and that will tell you something. Not every girl wants the same thing of course, but the vast majority do.

I will gouge my eyes out if I have to watch follies or spring sing again!! . Seriously, don't we have theatre and chorus at OSU? Follies should be charged for what it is, HAZING!! Come on Panhellenic, you know someone is going to call the hazing hotline. Why else would only freshman HAVE to do it? Lawsuit, if by no one else but the audience?

I agree that those houses competed some but just in my opinion AXO took the ones they wanted, then Zeta, then KD. At least that's how it looks right now.
