As a parent, I occasionally get on here to see what is being said about my daughters house (the place I send a lot of $$). Her original rush didn't go as well as she liked, so she waited and did COB in Jan. She was offered a bid within a few days of Spring COB starting. I'm glad she stayed and toughed it out that first semester. She's loved it ever since and loves living in the house and sisterhood etc
So it can work out for you if you wait...but you will probably have to wait until 2nd semester to really get to talk to the majority of houses.

I hate to see messages like the one above. Every house at OSU has all kinds of girls and out of as many girls as there are in each class, I'm pretty sure anyone could find girls she clicks with. It seems like the lady above wasn't satisfied with the tier of the sororities she had left so she dropped out and shopped around later. Most houses think that is a little bit disgraceful.

Wow "bid shopping", way to overreact!!! You are making some huge assumptions!
The lady didn't say anything about tiers or dissatisfaction. She just said that her daughter didn't have a great rush (it happens a lot!) and chose to COB and now she loves it. She never said anything about tiers or satisfaction. The poor girl had a bad rush, she waited for Spring and now she's happy. Relax!

What do you think she meant by rush "not going as well as she liked?" Do you think she meant that her bed was uncomfortable? She sweated too much? She had a tummy-ache?

There is only one reason for a bad rush and that is that you get dropped from houses you wanted. Evidently she was released from certain houses so she dropped out of recruitment and shopped around for a better house than she had left on her invite card when she dropped.

True. The reason girls drop out is because the houses that like them are not good enough for them in their own minds. There is no other reason to no have a good recruitment. If you're getting back your favorite houses you're not going to drop
