clearly not many people agree with you. just because you have a million rankings doesn't mean anything. girls from other houses go on and write really bad things on other houses to bring down the rankings, a lot of times the houses have a BUNCH of rankings because of people writing a bad comment about them. I WILL AGREE WITH YOU on the fact that potential new members should not refer to this website at all, ever. They should get to know the girls in the houses during recruitment and base their decisions off of that. One last thing, whoever is in charge of this website goes in every once in a while and deletes rankings (for whatever reason) on a bunch of houses, so it really switches up rankings and that's why some houses have a lot more or a lot less than others. ALL the houses at osu are great and this website isn't a fair showing of that.

okay here is the absolute truth. EVERY house has beautiful, smart, and well rounded girls. EVERY house has those girls that give the name a bad house. whether the house is top 5, middle tier, or bottom tier. that's just how it is. PNMs need to go into recruitment with an open mind and they will end up where they belong! we have the BEST greek system in the nation so let's act like it.

I agree but the absolute truth is the top 5 houses only take girls with 3.5 and higher (and 2 to 3 girls with 3.2-3.4 with a lot of leadership and a good reputation). These houses are ChiO, PiPhi, Kappa, GPhi and Theta (in no particular order). If girls don't get in one of these houses they usually want KD, AlphaChi or Zeta. Then PhiMu, DDD and ADPi. All the houses are good though and all PNM's should know that. I am not in a so called top house but am happy and have made life long friends. All the houses really are great but I'm not going to lie on here and say it is different than it really is as far as popularity during recruitment.

The top houses aren't for everyone. They are much more structured and the girls seem to be from the same cookie cutter. When I went through recruitment last fall I knew going in that I might not get into a top house due to my gpa. Please know going in that all the houses are great and you will love being in a sorority regardless of what house it is. You will develop life long friends and will have a blast. Please go in with an open mind and don't be set on a top house or any other houses and you will be fine. You can go to recruitment all stressed or go and have fun. If you go and have fun, the process will go much more smooth for you. I promise that where you end up will be perfect for you and you will love it!

Very true. I am a 4.0 student, but I'm not in a "top house." I LOVE my house! I have a great bond with my sisters I wouldn't trade for anything. Honestly I think it's kinda ridiculous girls are so obsessed with being in a "top house." Go through recruitment and feel what's right for you. Whether that be a very structured house or a house full of laid back girls. :)

I'm rushing this fall and have a 3.2 on OSU's weird unweighted core-class scale. I have a ton of leadership, I'm a cheerleader/dancer, and have 2/3 recs for each sorority but am very concerned that I might not get a house because of my grades. Thoughts?

First off, don't stress about it and go into recruitment having fun! There's no telling what will happen. Maybe you'll end up in a top house and maybe you won't. What is important is that you go in with an open mind and get a feel for what is right for you. If you don't feel good about the houses you have on pref day you can always go through continuous open recruitment in the spring!

The person is right below you can go through Continuous Open Recruitment (COR), however not all the sororities participate in COR. This is because some houses can't take anymore girls for that years pledge class because they got their max amount of girls during recruitment. All the houses are great and every girl I know is happy with their house. So go and have fun! That's what recruitment is for. Also, to "PNM"...3.2 is good and sounds like you have leadership and activities. They also look at community service and reputation. The top houses won't take girls with gpa or reputation issues. I agree with "@osu" top houses want girls with 3.5 and higher but they also take girls with 3.2-3.4 with good reputations, leadership and community service. They will not take anyone under a 3.2.

Do recommendations make much of a difference at OSU? I'm a part of a Greek system in the SEC and they are a huge factor here...
