Follies show descriptions

OSN order
ADPI/lambda - shooting for funny, not technically sound in vocals or choreo but had moments with laughs. Built up to a reid rector joke that didn’t hit.
Theta/AGR - rough OSN showing, clearly lacking male vocals, tone wasn’t there, choreo has potential when executed cleanly. Hope they can bring it the rest of the week.
Phimu/SAE - some good characters, good energy, again not technically sound either vocally or choreo but it was a fun show
Aopii/ksig - pleasant surprise, sounded good, looked good, good characters. Nothing overly stands out as particularly impressive but it’s a good show, directors should be proud
AXO/SigEp- hard to do a show with half of the directors. Props to axo directors for taking it on, overall show was underwhelming, fun theme idea but execution all around was lackluster.
ZTA/beta - beta vocals are present, but quietly. Not the same insanely loud opener we’re accustomed to, theme is fun, vocals are solid without being mind blowing, choreo is beta simple - easy but clean, probably looking at a 3-5 placing.
Gphi/farm - surprise of the night, very unique theme with dances that play into salsa, lots of partner work. Surprisingly good vocals for a gphi farm show, opener was very loud, on a good day they could place top 3, rest of the week will tell.
Triple pair - the attempt at jokes were there, bad show.
KD/sigma Chi - great show, very impressive vocals, very impressive. Hip hop dance is extremely solid, love the theme, just wish the mime could sing- slight let down for all the buildup. Best female soloist, awesome theme, will place very well.
ChiO/FIJI - another great show, two horse race at the top. Again great vocals with awesome choreo, hip hop was also great, love the incorporation of theme into costumes, love the mashup of songs, awesome song choice all around. Great show.
PiPhi/phi delt - rides on the shoulders of its male soloist, who is incredible, will easily win the award. However, while the theme is fun, the rest of the show is underwhelming compared to his singing and tries to make up for easy choreo and vocals with very short lived stunts and yell like singing.
KKG/snu - good for a kappa show, could place but would have to bring it every night. Bad opener, very slow, but had good vocal moments throughout show, choreo was cool at times, very high energy.

Great shows this year, maybe not what we’re used to but could tel people put a lot of work in, let me know your thoughts.
