sorority competitiveness
by: Gopokes2018How competitive are each of the specific sororities? I have good grades, am involved in high school & community activities and am coming from out of state this fall. Would you say I would have a fair chance of receiving a bid to most sororities, or are some difficult to get into unless you know someone in the chapter or "exclusive" based on wealth or being from Oklahoma or something like that?

You only get a bid to one house. If you mean party invites, the first sorting is by grades for most houses. Most all the girls rushing will have good grades and activities. To stand out yours need to be stellar. You need to have good recs, be nicely put together (pretty is a plus), and have a good personality. You need to be genuinely interested in the girls you meet at each house because since you don't know anyone, you have no guarantee of a top house. You have to make the girls you meet want you for a sister.
