VR: Winners at War. There have been some high caliber shows recently. But how good is each year’s winner comparatively?
Here are my thoughts on the best winning shows of the last 7 years.
1. The Manor
2. Tea Party
3. Day Dreams
(3.5 honorable mention: chi o hot dog show because this show was phenomenal and an argument could be made for it being better than y2k even though it was 2nd place that year. )
4. Y2K
5. Wedding
6. Villains
7. Baseball
Please note: the Villains show had the best choreography of all the shows but the theme and the vocals were no where close to the shows above them.
If the wedding show had a decent opener and tag it would arguably be one of the top vocal shows of the bunch.

1st - Tea Party: Equal to the manor in vocals and choreo but a more creative theme. Borrowed a lot from the manor but made it original.
2nd - Manor: Walked so Tea Party could run. The most WOW show of all time. If anyone uses cellblock tango again they are embarrassing themselves.
3rd - Y2K: Great theme and vocals. choreo second only to villians. This one definitely stands out
4th - Wedding: one of my favorite themes. Great vocals and incredible song choice (Day Dreams God Only Knows is superior).
5th - Day Dreams: not much to say. great show. great songs.
6th - Villians: Best choreo of any show but weaker creatively than the other shows - not personally a fan of dark shows. First show on this list to not sweep but great song choice.
7th - Baseball: This show is just from a different era. I think choreo and creative have come a long way since this show. The other show on the list to not sweep.
Tea Party and The Manor will be the template for good shows for a long time. What stands out about the top 4 (and hot dog stand) is how seamlessly they blend the numbers in with the scenes to actually be a vehicle for the story rather than the scenes bridging the gap between disjointed numbers.
Also shoutout to Chi O FIJI for the best second place show of all time.

Sorry to bust everyone’s bubble, but Tea Party is being ranked way too high. They winning best choreo was a fluke considering they had maybe 3-3.5 TRUE dance numbers. Vocally and theme wise, it is easily top 3 in each category, which I think is why they’re given more credit than deserved for choreo, because an all around great show just makes everything appear better together. I think it’s a solid 3rd or 4th on the list but comparing it to the manor is ridiculous

I guess the differences in the categories are different because you could make an argument for wedding to be in the running for theme too. And the difference in vocals and choreo are different between shows Honestly they’re all great shows so it’s hard to truly compare them and it comes down to personal preference

I am confused how you say wedding is 2 when you say it’s not top 3 in choreo and theme and only third in vocals?
