A steering member's thoughts on Follies

I've seen all the shows more times than I care to count. So here are my thoughts and the general thoughts of steering.

Alpha Chi Phi Tau: Genuinely one of the funniest shows I've seen and they look like they have so much fun onstage. I love it.

KD Beta: Surprised by the vocals? Nah we knew. What pleasantly surprised us all was the creative. The story is solid and the characters are funny. Steering loves singing the songs even after the KDs and Betas have left the building. This is a top contender.

Tri Delt Farmhouse: Some good vocal moments and choreo moments. I really like their theme, I just wish it was developed a bit more. I'm happy that Tri Delt is on the rise when it comes to shows though.

Zeta SAE: I don't like the theme at all. I think what could have been some good choreography moments and some vocal moments got lost in a theme that is too confusing and makes the audience spend more time questioning what is happening than actually watching.

Theta Fiji: Never count theta out. This show came together really well and I think it is one of the stronger ones on the choreo end; and, of the shows about a competition, (there are a lot this year) it is one of my favorites.

Pi Phi Sig Ep: When I say they thought they were the real deal this whole time, and for a while, I thought they were... until the creative was added. Great choreo moments get lost in a theme that is forgettable and unnoteworthy, the guys today also looked like they did not want to be onstage at all. They might place but I wasn't impressed.

Alpha Xi Lambda: If you know, you know

ADPi Delt: It's a follies show. I think they had a decent opener and choreo. Kinda hard to make a show about a roller coaster when the audience can't see a roller coaster.

AOPi, AGR, Phi Delt: Dang this is a fun show. I love their theme because its competition but it also has the dad element and some really funny moments. This is a great follies show.

Phi Mu Pike: I dont know I'm just a mailbox. Another show that I don't really consider super noteworthy but I honestly like watching it. It's super cute and I like their costumes.

Chi O Sigma Chi: This one has me torn. I think there are some great things about it like the choreo and some good vocal things but I was kinda confused. Love the costumes though and I think Chi O always finds a way of ending up near the top. Would never ignore chi o when it comes to shows.

Kappa Kappa Sig: Tour guides are so funny but this one fell completely flat. Not the creative direction I would have gone with the theme but I don't hate watching it. I just kinda forget about it.

GPhi Snu: Dang good choreo and energy. I think the story gets a bit lost but I wish i had a video of their hip hop so I could watch it on repeat. Another great show that I could see towards the top.

I think that it is a good year and there aren't any shows that I really find offensively bad. I have my thoughts about how judged awards will go but I could also be totally wrong in my opinions.
