spring rush

Ok so I am about to go on a little rant here. Today in one of my classes I overheard some girls talking about how upset they were that their house is participating in COB…I don't see how some girls view Spring Rush as a bad thing. Spring Rush is not a bad thing to do. Yes, there are some houses that seem to partake in COB often because they are not a favorite house out of PNMs, so thus they don't fill up the spots they need, but your house participating in Spring Rush can be an honor. I view it as being successful. When you have successful girls in your house they occasionally graduate early, they get into dental school, etc. they study abroad, land awesome internships, so on and so on. When you have open spots in your house because your girls are so successful then that is amazing and it is a great thing to participate in COB. I am in a top house. My house has never participated in Spring Rush in the years that i have been here because we have met and maintained our quota. I wish all houses could participate in Spring Rush because there are some great girls out there who may have been unable to do Fall Rush, transfers, etc. My advice to any girls out there who are considering rushing to go ahead and sign up for COB. You are not making any kind of commitment in doing this. You will fill out your info and then interested houses that are participating may notify you to hang out. It is a real laid back atmosphere.
