Let’s talk about something

by:

Recently, a lot of chapters have been working on a “director of inclusion” and most of them are white, straight, women. How do y’all feel about this?

I think "straight white women" are the majority outside of one of the Divine 9 sororities at OSU. I think it's a step in the right direction that Diversity is being addressed. Last year a KD (I believe) alum of color was featured in several videos and QA Sessions discussing diversity and it was really amazing to have that perspective.

Honestly who cares what the color of your skin is. It’s what your character and morals are that counts. Sheeesh

Yeah but also people of color have a different experience than white people so getting that perspective in the role would be valuable and prioritized over some girl from Jenks or Edmond

I've been following this thread and the entire discussion of diversity is gone. Someone is getting a little nervous about what's coming up?

I came here to read that long comment again and it’s gone. Is someone upset that someone else roasted tf out of them lmao

Yeah honestly wtf happened…I assume that people with an opposing viewpoint requested that my comment be deleted because they didn’t have an intelligent rebuttal.

I guess the mindset of the other side is “if you can’t beat them, silence them”
