It's Show Week

It's officially VR show week and I cannot wait to see what happens. Apparently, it's a pretty competitive year but obviously there are a few shows that have stood out to steering and other casts as the ones to lookout for.

Pi Phi/Sig Ep - Gonna have great choreo and probably a really solid opener but I wouldn't be surprised if the vocals in the rest of the show are kinda a let down. Also heard that the boys are kinda strugglin with the choreo... but who knows they could definitely pull it together and make something cool. Pi Phi usually has pretty strong song choice but if they chose in favor of choreo over creative and vocals it might be a one note show...

Theta/Beta - Two of the most vocals heavy houses in shows, I'd be shocked if this pairing didn't win best vocals. I'd assume that since its Beta, they played it pretty safe on the creative... but anyways, Theta/Beta is always a strong pairing on every level, so their biggest competition might be expectations and whether or not they'll live up to the hype.

KD/ZETA - I've not heard too much about this pairing besides they have an incredible opener and some pretty solid choreo. I also haven't heard anything about their creative but I saw their costumes on the VR insta and I wasn't blown away by that aspect of the show... but best costumes isn't necessarily an award that houses strive for. I'm sure this will be the best all-girls show ever and that is definitely something to be proud of.

Chi O/Sigma Chi - the Leif Show as it will probably end up being remembered. Any show with Chi O might not always be the most well-loved show, but it would be stupid to rule out Chi O when it comes to choreo and vocals. This is a pairing that I've been waiting to see for a while so I just wanna know if it'll live up to the hype I've built up for it or not.

Kappa/Sigma Nu - Definitely will win the steering award for biggest pain in the butt, but I'd be surprised to find anyone who'd side with VR exec over Kappa and Snu. Sigma Nu can pull out a good VR every once and a while so hopefully this is one of those years. Kappa also has had some pretty funny shows in the past so maybe this pairing could give Chi O and Sigma Chi a run for their money when it comes to the entertainment factor.

Alpha Chi/Farmhouse - I'll say it. I'm usually bored watching any show with these houses so the fact that they paired could either be a total snooze fest or I could be pleasantly surprised by the quality of their show. I'd say they'll probably be in the upper half of shows this year.
