Dry pledge

So I’m a PNM and I recently learned that there is a dry pledge as a PNM. No I am not joining Greek life to get drunk every weekend, I simply enjoy a social life. Though, I am turning 21 this semester. What should I expect?

In some houses you aren’t allowed to go to parties until you’ve been initiated. The pledge period is only 6 weeks so hopefully you can contain yourself during that time frame You also aren’t allowed to drink/party during recruitment.

Coming from a sorority member who has a dry initiation, you’re totally free to drink at your home with a couple people. Obviously, don’t post about it. I’m sorry to hear about the bars tho, I don’t see a way around that. Unless you want to go to Norman and go to bars. No one to get you in trouble there!
